St Mawes is a thriving holiday and fishing village situated on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall. With its historic castle commanding the entrance to the Fal, it offers probably the best sailing base in the West. There are aslo several eating places, shops to cover all one's needs and a regular ferry accross to Falmouth and boat trips up the River Fal. The surrounding area is very beautiful with its National Trust beaches, coastal walks, many open gardens and the renowned Saxon Church at St Just with its tropical vegetation.
